We’ll be back at the pub about 9ish for a drink. Be aware that the pub is CASH ONLY.

Meet on the High St in Castle Hedingham near The Bell at 10.30am (parking in the street) for a walk of about 6 miles taking in the town and the R Colne. Please bring a packed lunch, but there’s a chance of refreshments at the end of the walk.

The former YHA Eastbourne, now privately owned, has been refurbished and launched as an independent hostel called The South Downs Club House.
Beachy Head is a two-mile walk away through woods and grassland, leading to the iconic white chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters. Bridleway access to the South Downs Way runs right past the door, and Eastbourne’s vibrant seafront and beaches are easily reached.
