Wednesday 3rd June
Pub Walk – The Dukes Head
Little Burstead is a delightful village in south west Essex, where you might even see a hill or two. We meet at the Dukes Head in Laindon Common Rd, Little Burstead, just off the A176 south of Billericay (grid ref TQ672928, see map) at 7:30pm. The walk is approx. 3¾ miles, after which we’ll be propping up the bar in the pub.

Committee Meeting
Join us to plan our trips for early winter and events for September & October. Everybody welcome.
Wednesday 17th June
Picnic in the Park
Meeting in Hylands Park from 7pm for a picnic and a game of boule on what we trust will be a glorious summer’s evening. Please bring food, drink, boule (if you have a set) and a mobile phone (or you may never find us!).
Saturday 20th June
Cressida’s Birthday Barn Dance
You’re invited to Cressida’s 50th Birthday Barn Dance in Billericay on Saturday June 20th from 8pm
Buffet provided, but please bring your own drink and glasses.

Wednesday 24th June
Midsummer Cycle Ride
Meet at Galleywood Common car park (the one just off the B1007) at 7:30pm for a cycle ride taking in West Hanningfield, Stock and doubtless a pub en route. Please note the height restriction on the entrance to the car park if you have a roof-mounted cycle carrier and bring lights just in case we linger at the pub
Sunday 28th June
Essex Way part 3
Whether you have done the previous legs or not, join us for a cracking walk from Gt Waltham to White Notley (about 11 miles). Meet at 10am at the Cross Keys pub, White Notley (see map), for a car shuffle so we can start the walk from the Gt Waltham end about 10:30. Please bring sandwiches for lunch.
Note: Unless otherwise stated, Wednesday events start at 8.30pm at the YMCA in Victoria Road, Chelmsford
