Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk Coast

Trudi

Wells-next-the-Sea hostel A newly opened hostel in this ancient fishing village on the North Norfolk Coast Path. Creeks and salt marshes teeming with bird life; vast beaches, sand dunes and seals. Excellent footpaths, quiet flint villages, characterful pubs, green lanes and the magnificent Holkham Estate with its deer park and stately Hall.

Ian, our local expert, has already been to check it out: "Brill YH, nice warden, tons of things to do, coastal path is great, 2 narrow gauge railways we've not done before, Walsingham is a must (its a fantastic place), Roman ruins, boat trips to seal island and bird watching. Good pub 2 mins walk and found 4 good tea shops."

£22 deposit will book a bed (total cost will be around £38). Small rooms make the hostel especially suitable for families. Places are filling rapidly so don't delay!

Wednesday 17th July

Theatre Trip ~ "The Life of Death"

Trudi

Chelmsford Theatre WorkshopA production by the Chelmsford Theatre Workshop at the Old Court Theatre. The Life of Death is a gothic horror play in the Grand Guignol tradition from Clive Barker, author of numerous films and best selling books, including Hellraiser, Candyman and Weaveworld.

Latin America: revolution is in the air. El Coco, the bogeyman, has overthrown the junta and taken the presidential palace. In the dungeons below, monstrous creations seek revenge upon their maker. Can romance flourish between a monster and his hideous bride?
