Easter in the Lake District

We'll be staying in the Carlisle Diocesan Youth Centre at St John's-in-the-Vale, nestled in the North Lakeland hills, a remote and rugged location, yet only 4 miles from Keswick.

We've got the Centre for 5 nights. Fitted sheet, pillow and pillow case are provided; you will need to bring a sleeping bag or duvet, and a towel.

Location: St Johns-in-the-Vale CA12 4UB, grid ref NY306224, ///panics.multiples.steam. From A66 at Threlkeld, follow B5322 south for 1½ miles then turn right following signs for Youth Centre.

£40 deposit to book. (Total will be about £26 per day for bed and food, plus around £40 petrol contribution if sharing lifts from Essex).

One of our favorite pubs in a peaceful village setting. Join us from 8:30pm. The Leather Bottle, Pleshey, CM3 1HG.

Sunday 24^th April

Tollesbury Walk

A 10.5 mile walk around the coast north of Tollesbury, described as the epitome of Essex coastal marshland. Sea, bird and plant life all flourish here and the view changes as the tide ebbs and flows. We will pass through Old Hall Marches RSPB reserve with a variety of habitats to support a variety of bird life. Bring sandwiches for lunch but possible pub/tea shops on our return to Tollesbury, Lots of great sky and sea views guaranteed!

Meet in Woodrolfe Road, CM9 8SE. 10.30 start

Spanish Evening

A chance to look over maps and plan for our week in Andalusia. Things to do, useful phrases, who's cooking, possibly a scary video of the Caminito del Rey. Not to be missed. Join us on Zoom from 8.30pm – everyone welcome, even if you’re not coming to Spain!
