New Forest

A weekend staying in "The Barn" at Foxlease near Lyndhurst in the New Forest. Foxlease is a Girlguiding activity centre set in 65 acres of beautiful land situated on the edge of Lyndhurst village. The barn has central heating and is fully equipped for self-catering groups. You need to bring a sleeping bag. There are four bedrooms of different sizes fitted with bunk beds and en-suite toilets and showers, and there is a large main hall.

From the M3 / M27 take the M271 then A35 to Lyndhurst. In Lyndhurst take the A337 towards Brockenhurst. Foxlease is signposted on the right-hand side just beyond the one-way system. Postcode SO43 7DE, ///clutter.highly.liability.

We’re so multicultural. It was Italian in Jan, Indian in Feb, so it’s definitely time for a Chinese. Prawn toasts and duck pancakes… mmmm.

Let Cress know by 9 March if you want to come. We expect to be sitting down from 7:30pm. San Finest Chinese Cuisine is at 136 Moulsham Street, CM2 0JT.

Sunday Walk – Goldhanger

Meet in the Daisy Meadow car park at Heybridge Basin at 10:30am for a walk to Goldhanger and back (about 7 miles). Please bring sandwiches, but there might visit to a pub or the Tiptree tea room.  (Heybridge Basin is signposted from B1026 between Heybridge and Goldhanger ///shells.gravel.expressed CM9 4RW)
