Join us for a short walk (5-6 miles) in the ancient Royal hunting park of Hatfield Forest. Meet in the main car park by entrance (CM22 6NE, ///panning.glassware.secure) at 10.30am.
There is a very nice outdoor Café at the Shell House, but it can get busy so please bring lunch.

A Virtual Tour of the Balkans

Jonathan has arranged for a guest speaker, Steve, to join us on Zoom to present some slides and a video of his recent tour of the Balkans.
"My holiday was a tour of the Balkans specifically Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania including Transylvania. The short video covers the main cities and multiple monasteries, castles and churches many of them UNESCO sites. I'll also answer the questions of where have all the Romanian gypsies gone and which country idolised Trump."

A weekend trip to Palace Farm Hostel (which will be under new ownership, renamed as "The Farmyard at Doddington"). The hostel is in converted farm buildings on an arable and fruit farm in the North Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Rooms are en-suite, fully heated and surround an attractive courtyard garden with lawns, and patio area. It’s a short walk to a good pub in Doddington.
From M20 J8, follow A20 to Lenham, then turn left, signposted to Doddington. In Doddington turn left at The Chequers pub, over hill and a further quarter of a mile turn left into the Down Court Road, and turn into the second farm entrance.
