Please bring along something tasty to share and your favourite summer drink. If the weather’s kind, we’ll also have a few light outdoor games available — possibly including pétanque — for anyone who fancies a bit of gentle fun.

Directions: To find the hall (grid ref TL665108, What3Words ///perform.paler.file, postcode CM1 4TS), take the A1060 (Rainsford Rd./Roxwell Road) out of Chelmsford. Turn right at the lights into Chignal Road; after about a mile, turn left into Mashbury Road, signposted Chignal St James. The hall is on the left after almost two miles.

Further details will be added once arrangements are confirmed.
