AGM

At the end of a particularly trying year this is our chance to recap and look to the year ahead. We still can’t all meet in person, so we will do this through the Zoom link. There is a phone alternative for those who struggle with the internet. Please get in touch for joining instructions. Online voting will be available, or you can appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf.

Agenda to include Secretary’s, Treasurer’s and Chairman’s report, Election of the Committee.

Any objections to holding the meeting in this way, any motions for the meeting, or appointment of proxies, should be sent in writing to the Secretary (before 23rd September).


River Stort at harlow Mill

Sunday walk: Sawbridgeworth

A walk of about 9 miles, taking in gently undulating countryside and exploring the older parts of the small Hertfordshire town of Sawbridgeworth, including a section of towpath along the River Stort, the historic Pishiobury Park, and an impressive 300-year-old beech hedge.

Meet at Bell Street car park (free on Sundays), Sawbridgeworth, CM21 9AQ, at 10.30am, and bring sandwiches for lunch.  Please let Dave know if you’re coming, and see this advice.

Join us as we look back at a fabulous walk from Ivinghoe Beacon in the west to Thetford Forest in the east. We take in chalk escarpments, county boundaries, quaint villages and wide open views, following "the oldest road in Britain"".
