An opportunity to walk another part of the Thames Path.  We’ve booked some self-catering apartments near the village of Dorney, close to Eton and Windsor, just a short stroll from the river, and close to Dorney Lake (venue for the Olympic rowing and kayak events).

Deposit £55 to book a bed please.

Join us for a delicious meal at this charming Gastropub on Stock Rd, Galleywood, CB2 8PS at 7:30pm. Let Cress know by 24^th October if you want to join us.

Sunday 11^th November

Layer Marney Walk

Meet at The Old Crown at Messing CO5 9TU, between Kelvedon and Tiptree at 10.30am for an eight mile stroll around Layer Marney and Layer Breton returning to The Old Crown Messing for a late lunch at 2.30pm. Suggest you bring 'first lunch' as we could have a break halfway round at Layer Breton Heath. The walk will take us through wooded areas and around the outskirts of Layer Marney Tower (England’s tallest Tudor gatehouse). Let Chris know as soon as possible if you wish to join us so that she can book a table. Park through the arch at the rear of the Old Crown.
