Ten Pin Bowling

CYHA go bowling!

Ten-pin bowling at Tenpin, Tattersall Way, Widford Industrial Estate, Chelmsford. Meet there at 8.30pm.

Cost will be £6 to £12 depending on the number of games, but it’s definitely cheaper if we book in advance – so be sure to let Jim know you’re coming by 27^th October.

Join us for trip planning for next summer and all the best in local walks. Everybody welcome!

Saturday 13^h November

Olympic Walk

Mike & Cress

Meet at Bromley by Bow tube station at 11:30am for a short walk taking in views of the brand new Olympic Park, the Three Mills and the banks of the Lee Navigation. Please bring something to eat, although there is a café at the end of the walk, mid afternoon.

Wednesday 17^th November

Duck Jazz

Cress

Not a bizarre new hobby, but a Jazz night at The Duck in Newney Green. The Duck is well known for its food, so let Cress know by 10^th November if you want to eat. The plan is to eat at 7:30pm and settle down for drinks at about 8:30.

To get there, leave Chelmsford on Writtle Rd., pass Writtle Green, turn left (Ongar Rd.) bear right into Victoria Rd, pass Queen Vic pub, and follow the lane for about a mile to Newney Green (Grid ref. TL651070, postcode CM1 3SF, see map)

Highlights of Mike and Cress’s recent trip to the remote area of the Julian Alps around Lake Bohinj, the popular tourist location of Lake Bled and the mountainous region around the ski resort of Kranjska Gora. Look out for fabulous views unspoilt by crowds.

We’re renting "The Barton", which is a self-contained annexe of Cheddar hostel in Somerset.

We can walk in the Mendip Hills and the Somerset Levels, visit the caves, the gorge and the cheese shops, and the seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare is only a few miles away.

Deposit £22 please. Total cost about £52.

Note: Unless otherwise stated, Wednesday events start at 8.30pm at the YMCA in Victoria Road, Chelmsford
