Wednesday Meetings, Weekends Away & Other Events

November 2008

Sunday 2nd November

Whole Hog Challenge

Roz

Roz has invited us to go the Whole Hog – a foot based course of about 8 miles including various fun challenges en route. At £35 per person, it’s a bit more pricey than our usual events, but all proceeds go to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Set at Wantisden Hall, Suffolk, the organsiers don’t specify what the challenges are but guarantee they will be fun (if dirty), with a wimp-out option for any task you really can’t contemplate. What better way to raise money for such a good cause?

They are looking for teams of three to take part. Please let Roz know if you’re interested.

Wednesday 5th November

The Green Man

Ali’s Birthday Meal

Dave P

Most of you know Ali and many of you will know that this year is her 40th birthday. Come to the Green Man in Howe Street for 7:30pm (eating at 8pm) and help her welcome middle age. Any reassurance that life isn’t over will be welcomed.

Leaving Chelmsford towards Great Dunmow on A130, turn left at the last roundabout (signposted Howe St. and Gt. Waltham) - sign board to the Green Man. Pub is on the left after ½ mile (grid ref. TL696148, see map)

Please let Dave know if you want to come as table numbers will need to be confirmed a couple of weeks in advance.

Wednesday 12th November

Annapurna Sanctuary Slide Show

Gary
