Wednesday 9th March

Blackadder at the Old Court Theatre

Trudi

Chelmsford Theatre Workshop are performing three episodes of the classic comedy, at the Old Court Theatre.

  • After Baldrick incinerates Dr Johnson's new dictionary, Edmund's plan to rewirte it over the weekend proves to be like fitting wheels to a tomato - time consuming and completely unnecessary.

  • At Mrs Miggin's Coffee Shoppe, huge suspicious sausages are all the rage and French aristocrats are all the rouge in this nail-painting tale of revolutionary derring-do and lace hankies.

  • The prince's palace crawls with actors and anarchists and only one man can eliminate them - that renowned vermin expert Mr Hopelessly-Drivelo-Can't-Wait-For-Toffee-Crappy-Butler-Weed.

Tickets are £9 (on the door, from the Civic Theatre Box Office on 01245 606505, online, or give money to Dave P at least a week in advance). Performance starts at 7.45pm at the Old Court Theatre which is in Springfield Road (opposite the prison).
