Wednesday 3^rd July

Evening Cycle Ride

Meet at Galleywood Common car park (the one just off the B1007 Stock Road, TL704022, see map) at 7:30pm for a cycle ride of about 11 miles taking in West Hanningfield, Stock and doubtless a pub en route. Please note the height restriction on the entrance to the car park if you have a roof-mounted cycle carrier and bring lights just in case we linger at the pub.

Wednesday 10^th July

Meal – The Admiral J McHardy

Enjoy an evening of (hopefully) alfresco dining at The Admiral J McHardy (formerly The Alma), Arbour Lane, Chelmsford, CM1 7RG from 7:30pm. Please let Sarah know by 3^rd July if you want to come.

Sunday 14^th July

Grafham Cycle Ride

James

Meet at the Fishing Lodge visitor centre just outside Perry village (NGR TL143673, post code PE28 0BX, see map) at 10:30am for a 24 mile cycle ride through charming Cambridgeshire villages and around Grafham Water reservoir. Feel free to bring snacks, but we plan to stop at a pub for lunch. There are at least three car parks for Grafham Water, so make sure you have the right one. There is a small charge for parking.

Committee Meeting

We’ll be planning Wednesdays for October and trips away for early spring.

Sunday 21^st July

Pleshey Walk

Meet outside Pleshey Village Hall at 10:30am for a walk of about 9 miles. Please bring sandwiches, but there should be plenty of time for a drink in the Leather Bottle at the end.

Wednesday 24^th July

Evening Walk

Join Jim for an evening strolling around the Laindon and Little Burstead before returning to Billericay for a night cap. Meet in the car park just off the High Street in Billericay (behind Iceland/Santander) at 7:30pm.

Shetland Slide Show

Last year Dave and Ali spent a fortnight in the far north, exploring Shetland & Orkney. More wild than mountainous, join us for an evening of cliffs, böds, wildlife and history.

Note: Unless otherwise stated, Wednesday events start at 8.30pm at the YMCA in Victoria Road, Chelmsford
