Bring lunch. Wednesday 8th December Committee Meeting Looking at the February programme and trips for the spring. Wednesday 15th December Slide Show – the History of RADAR John M Join us for an evening on Zoom looking at the fascinating history of RADAR, its connections with Chelmsford, and its influence on world events. Saturday 18th December Christmas Party Cress Back to our usual venue: 7:30pm at Chignal St James village hall (Mashbury Road, CM1 4TS). We realise a bring-and-share buffet may not be universally popular, so feel free to bring your own food and whatever you are comfortable sharing. We’re planning a raffle, quiz and dancing. Bring your own drinks and your dancing shoes. We will be looking at Facebook "likes" to determine a shortlist for voting on Zoom tonight. #BestLandscape #BestPortrait #SpiritofCYHA #CaptionCompetition Tuesday 28th December 2021 to Dinefwr Bunkhouse, Wales Dave P Postponed from last year, six nights in a stylishly rustic bunkhouse on the National Trust Dinefwr Park estate, set in rolling wooded parkland by historic Newton House, overshadowed by the mighty Dinefwr Castle. Near Llandeilo on the western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Dinefwr Bunkhouse is converted from servants’ living quarters, part of a courtyard of estate buildings of Newton House. It has a large open plan kitchen/lounge/dining room and a cosy woodburning stove. Please arrive after 4pm. You can unload directly outside the bunkhouse, but parking is in the main visitor car park 120m from the bunkhouse. Pillows and duvets are provided but you need to bring your own duvet covers, sheets, pillowcase (or sleeping bag), and towels.
