Canal walk

Our annual classic! The delightful walk from Heybridge basin to Chelmsford following the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation. Approx. 13 miles, please bring sandwiches for lunch. We shall leave cars at each end as this is a linear walk.

Meet outside the YMCA in Chelmsford at 10.00am or Heybridge Basin car park (TL870069, see map) at 10.30am.

You must have read all those books you got for Christmas by now, so how about bringing them along to share with your friends. Give a review, or read an exerpt, and see what gems everyone else brings along. The ideal opportunity to widen your literary horizons.

Weald Walkers Wander

A treasure hunt/walk hosted by our friends in Croydon YHA Group (COPSE). It's a 10 mile walk with clues to solve en route. Teams (2 to 5 people) are given start times between 9 and 10am from the Village Hall at Hurst Green in Surrey. Please contact Tim if you're interested in forming a team.

Cost: £5 in advance, £7 on the day.
